of Abraham.
"And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:29
If Abraham is the father of our faith, then ask the obvious question — what belongs to us?
Read Genesis. Abraham was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. God blessed him in his going out and in his coming in, made his name great, gave him favor in front of kings, and told him plainly that all the families of the earth would be blessed through him. That was not a one-time gift to one Old Testament man. Paul says it as plain as it can be said: if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
The blessing came in a covenant package. Spiritual blessing — justification and right standing with God. Material blessing — provision and increase. Generational blessing — legacy and inheritance for the children of your children.
Christ rescued us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us — that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. That is not a fundraising slogan. That is the gospel.
If God blessed Israel with silver and gold the day they walked out of Egypt, can He not bless you the day you walked out of bondage to sin?
He is the God of more than enough. He is El Shaddai. And His covenant is not a maybe — it is a guarantee, signed in the blood of His own Son.
Walk in what already belongs to you.
Father, thank You that I am a child of Abraham by faith in Jesus Christ. Every promise You made to him belongs to me. I receive the covenant — spirit, soul, body, family, finances, inheritance — in Jesus' name, amen.
