HEALING · 01

HEALING IS
His will.

"Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean. And Jesus answered, I am willing. Be cleansed." Matthew 8:2–3

A leper came to Jesus with the only question that ever really matters: are You willing?

And Jesus did not hesitate. He did not debate. He did not say, not yet, or, this sickness will make you holy. He said three words that should settle the question for every believer who ever opens this Bible:

I am willing.

People still ask the wrong question. They wonder if it is God's will to heal them — when Jesus answered that question two thousand years ago in the dust outside a Galilean village. And lest anyone miss it, Jesus Himself told us that He came down from heaven not to do His own will, but the will of the One who sent Him. So if Jesus healed, then healing is the Father's will. The Son only ever did what the Father wanted done.

Read the Gospels and you will find one phrase repeated until it should be impossible to escape: and He healed them all. Not most of them. Not the special cases. All.

When did Jesus change? When did He stop being the Healer? He didn't. The same Jesus who opened blind eyes in Jericho can open blind eyes in your neighborhood. The compassion that moved Him then is the compassion that moves Him now.

Stop wondering. Start coming. He is willing.

A PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I come to You today the way the leper came — not asking if You can, but asking if You will. And I take You at Your Word. You are willing. I receive Your healing, Your wholeness, Your touch, in Jesus' name, amen.
