HEALING · 02

BY HIS STRIPES
you were healed.

"Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." 1 Peter 2:24

Healing is not a bonus. Healing is not a maybe. Healing was paid for at the same place your forgiveness was paid for — on the same cross, by the same blood, in the same transaction.

Isaiah said it before it ever happened. He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. The Hebrew is plain: He carried our sicknesses, and He carried our pains. Peter, writing to the Church a generation later, picked up the same language and said it past tense — by His stripes you were healed.

It is already done. The work is finished. The stripes have already fallen on His back. Heaven's medical bill has already been paid in full.

So why would you carry today what He already took two thousand years ago?

When David blessed the Lord, he refused to forget any of God's benefits — and he listed two of them in the same breath: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Same God. Same sentence. Same finished work. You don't have to wonder if healing is yours. It is paid for. It is yours. It is finished.

Receive what He already bought.

A PRAYER

Father, thank You for the cross. Thank You that the same blood that washed my sin also paid for my healing. I refuse to carry what Jesus already took. I receive my healing today by faith, in Jesus' name, amen.
